About
Pulsar Trio creates a stunning, unparalleled sound: joyfully playing and energetic, with genuine and electronic instruments, profound moments and euphoric escalations. No other band provides a hypnotic Indian sitar to such an infectious extent combined with vibrant piano and keyboard motives and catching/contagious drum grooves altogether. Globally thinking Pulsar Trio unifies radiating catchy tunes and sensitively emotional passages, atmospheric sounds and emotional thoughtfulness, reminiscences of film music and memories of stimulating break and house beats. Founded 13 years ago Pulsar Trio just recently celebrated its 500th concert in original lineup. This striking anniversary is the reason for a new album (to be released in end of 2021) as well as another international tour that will lead from Berlin (Potsdam) to El-Kef and Katmandu. In previous years the band has been touring successfully around the world. It triumphed on stage of the famous British Glastonbury Festival, put the iconic Fusion Festival in trance and excited during psychedelic Burg Herzberg Festival. The music at times light-footed, at times intense has intoxicated audience and media ever since. Badische Zeitung described a performance of the trio as a „unique and first class concert experience“, Potsdamer Neue Nachrichten states: „…even after a few moments a fascination is established which is hard to withdraw from.“ Spectators give thanks after the trio ́s performance for a „breathtaking concert“, they speak of magic, passion and „another kind of universe“. With unmistakable sense for catchy tunes and sublime arcs of suspense Pulsar Trio develops a distinct, dynamic Global Pop-Groove-Fusion, that conjures a smile on everyone’s face.

“Das Pulsar Trio erinnert an andere progressive Jazztrios, wie die Briten GoGo Penguin, oder das deutsche Michael Wollny Trio. Die Band erzeugt in ihrer Musik sinnliche Schwebezustände, den Rausch des freien Falls und das Dahingleiten über weite Flächen.“

“Ein weltgereister, grenzenfreier, musikalischer Gourmettempel, dieses Trio. […]“
