She was the first singer ever to win the Grammy for “Best Jazz Vocal Album” with three consecutive releases – a feat unmatched to this day.

Reeves’ musical range is as impressive as her reputation: recordings with the Chicago Symphony under Daniel Barenboim, performances with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra led by Wynton Marsalis, and appearances as a celebrated soloist with the Berlin Philharmonic under Sir Simon Rattle highlight her grounding in both orchestral and improvised jazz. She was also the first singer to perform at the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, where she served as the first-ever “Creative Chair for Jazz” of the LA Philharmonic.

Her studio work has set standards as well: A Little Moonlight, produced by Arif Mardin (Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones), earned her a Grammy, as did her contribution to the soundtrack of George Clooney’s film Good Night, and Good Luck.
